Steel City Art Works Gallery is an artist community celebrating 15 years of great art in Pueblo. known as “A Community of Creators”, the Gallery boasts 40 local artists offering a diverse selection of art forms, including local writers. Each month the Gallery hosts featured artists as well as themed shows, and has an opening reception on First Friday Art Walk, offering complimentary refreshments.

Mo Keenan-Mason Painter
Mo Keenan-Mason is a painter whose background in folk art lends itself to her colorful, joyful, and whimsical world of animals, including rooster, hares, donkeys, emus and more. Her hope is that her paintings make you smile. Mo’s work has been displayed in a variety of venues, from county and state fairs to businesses and galleries. Her self-portrait, “Stay within the Lines”, was part of a traveling art exhibit.

Charissa Fryberger and her husband, David, live in wonder at the plot twists and surprises God weaves into the story of their lives. Whether they are climbing the mountains near their home in Beulah, exploring the forests of South Carolina, dropping in on any of their four adult children living on either coast, or adventuring in some out-of-the-way corner of the world, they often catch a breath of fresh God in some unexpected place. Charissa's book, A Breath of Fresh God, explores the many ways we can encounter God wherever we are. Charissa is also available for readings and spoken word performances

We offer a variety of creative classes. We teach everything from paint pouring to alcohol ink, jewelry making to natural skin care products. We will also be hosting special craft classes such as holiday and dollar store crafts!

The natural world holds the key to abstraction through the dance between colliding forms and the interchange of negative and positive space, light and color. I use this natural abstraction to create paintings and drawings that evoke the experiences one has within one’s surroundings. They are brief histories of moments constantly shifting, reorganizing to reveal the underlying structure in the landscape.
