Artist Spotlight

Artist Bio

Sean Garcia is a local lgbt artist who works primarily with acrylics, watercolors, and found objects. His art explores social issues and the complexities of human existence, inspired by the beauty and resilience found in people. Recently, Sean has drawn inspiration from the impact of doom scrolling, reflecting on how we navigate the world today.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts, Sean has been dedicated to the arts since childhood. He has received multiple awards from Pueblo Community College and is excitedly preparing for a future solo exhibition, where he will showcase a variety of works that engage with personal stories and broader societal themes.

Artist Statement

In my artwork, I aim to explore the connection between beauty and difficult truths. Using acrylics and watercolors, I create vibrant pieces that invite viewers to reflect on important social issues while celebrating the strength of the human spirit.

Creating art is both a personal journey and a response to the overwhelming flow of information in our lives, particularly the negativity that often comes with doom scrolling. I hope my work inspires viewers to pause, reflect, and find meaning in art amidst the chaos.
